They answered the phone before 7 a.m., had oiled delivered by 8 and a Service Rep to my house before 9, Heat ON by 10:00 a.m. Exactly why we have been doing business with them for the last 20 years! They come through with flying colors EVERY SINGLE TIME

I can’t speak highly enough of Mitchell Oil. Unfortunately I have needed their emergency services on a number of occasions and they come through with flying colors EVERY SINGLE TIME. The most recent event was a storm that knocked our power out along with most of Connecticut (I’m now at day 9 with no restoration in sight... thank goodness for our generator!) The gas level in my propane tank was extremely low and I urgently needed Mitchell Oil to deliver gas. Bearing in mind they were also without power and having difficulties with their own generators to pump propane into the trucks’ tanks, one of their technicians, Bob, delivered an emergency supply at 11pm to get us through the night. The following day, Jose was able to fully refill the tank, even though we had downed wires and our driveway was inaccessible. Their customer service is unsurpassable and I thank everyone on their team for working so hard and always putting the customer first. When asked by neighbors and friends who I use for my oil and propane, the response is always “Oh yeah, Mitchell Oil, they’re great aren’t they?” Yes they are!

I’m so glad we started with Mitchell

Just got the routine furnace cleaning. The serviceman was so thorough and explained everything so I can easily understand it. I’m so glad we started with Mitchell since we moved here 20 years ago and they’ve always been great! Today’s serviceman David was wonderful... he’s been to my house before and he really rates a great review! I think any company is only as good as the people working there, and Mitchell has very nice and helpful employees. Most satisfying experience that we have ever had with a propane/oil provider

As my wife and I celebrated Thanksgiving with our family, one of the things we were very thankful for is that we hired Mitchell as our contractor to provide our propane gas tanks for our automatic generator this past fall. From the first of many trips to our residence, to working with us to get the correct size propane tanks based on our needs–to signing a contract with a specific date of installation–it was a most satisfying experience that we have ever had with a propane/oil provider as a homeowner. Your staff were all experienced and well-trained, informed on the products, and especially important to us was the respect shown to both of us during the entire process that began in November 2012. We would recommend your company not only to the general public, but also to our Connecticut relatives. We can now have peace of mind not only in the winter months ahead but during any power outage! Knowledgeable, professional, clean

The service rep, Gin, who came to our home, was knowledgeable, professional, clean, wore a mask the whole time he was working, both inside and outside, and courteous. He was patient with our questions. He was concerned with safety, asking if we recognized the smell of propane, in case of a leak, and proceeded to show us the smell and how to shut off the tank. Unsolicited, he showed us how to turn the gas fireplace pilot on and off.

Could not ask for a better fuel delivery and service organization

Have been a customer of Mitchell’s for 10 years and never had an issue with propane delivery which is our primary business with them. However, on occasion we have needed a service call for our furnace and they have always been prompt and got us back up and running in no time. This particular review is about my first service call for our AC. Rob one of the Techs was out a few hours after our service call and when I explained to him what was going on he had the system up and running within an hour and a half. I thought the problem was a big deal and he worked through quickly and explained what was going on. Big shout out to Rob and the entire Mitchell’s organization. Could not ask for a better fuel delivery and service organization. I highly recommend them and we are customers for life,

We would absolutely recommend Mitchell for all of their services

We have been using Mitchell for our oil delivery for a few months now and have been very happy with their service. There were a couple of instances where we needed a technician to come out and the services were very prompt and the technicians were very knowledgeable. More importantly, we engaged Mitchell to oversee the installation of our new above ground oil tank and removal of our underground tank. They did a fabulous job of coordinating the work and the subcontractors who completed the job were really great. It was not an easy one to do since our underground tank was close to our well line, but the tank was pulled without any issues and with extra sensitivity to the complexity of the work. We would absolutely recommend Mitchell for all of their services based on our experience thus far!
